Waving a welcome to visitors and residents, a huge American flag flutters high above this charming lower Eastern Shore town- Pocomoke City. The flag was planted on the banks of the Pocomoke River in 1985, the same year Pocomoke City was in the running to be named one of America's best small towns. And lately, there's enough going on—a new discovery center, a recently refurbished theater, a new tour boat, a bevy of ecotourism opportunities, along with an ever-present friendliness—to put it right in the running again.
