Located just across the bay from the boardwalk, West Ocean City is one of the fastest growing areas of Worcester County. Large homes now take the space of empty farmland, and old beach cottages have been replaced by town homes and marinas full of sport-fishing yachts. Golf courses have also taken up parts of         the lush land. 

With great access to the Boardwalk and beaches, yet far less crowded, West Ocean City is a great place to stay and play. There is a marina for seasonal and transient docking, fine seafood restaurants, and a park and ride facility, which gives great access to the beach. A central business district has an eclectic mix of hotels, shops and restaurants, and a variety of special events take place throughout the year.
